Hi Marian. I didn't find the neckline a particular problem other than needing to stitch up a few holes where I'd picked up the stitches. It wasn't until I saw the jumper on my granddaughter that I realised how wide the neck was but it's fine on her so I'm sure you'll be ok. I didn't adjust the pattern at all.
