Product Details
When the freezing temperatures of winter set in, waterfalls freeze in stalactite formations. Imagine such a wintery scene, with cables nested between ribbed columns, worked in icy shades of rustic tweed - a cool look offset by woollen warmth!
The Frozen Falls Beanie makes a set with my Frozen Falls Fingerless Mitts pattern, also available here. The beanie is cast on using the tubular (1/1) CO method and worked from the bottom up. It features a folded ribbed brim, a cables and ribs pattern repeated over the body of the hat, and a simple tie-off. Instructions with charts included. (Tech edited and tested.)
Gauge: 26 sts and 28 rows to 10 cm/4 in using a 3.75 mm (US 5) circ needle in cables and ribs stitch pattern.
Techniques used: provisional CO; tubular CO in the round for 1x1 ribbing; cables, twisted knit stitches, purl stitches together.
