A beautiful blend of merino wool, alpaca and viscose, Rowan Felted Tweed DK has been lightly pre-felted to produce a felted look when knitted up. The rustic colour palette makes this yarn perfect for fair isles, striping and other colour work - and a favourite with Rowan designers. The care instructions should be followed to prevent the yarn from further felting.

Lovely Good colours Light weight so garment can stretch
I love this wool - it is exciting and so many colours. However, it is pricey and well above my usual budget but does have a significantly longer meterage than other DK yarn which helps. I only purchase it when discounted. I was very fortunate as an aunt got fed up with knitting and gave me a stash of this yarn. But I am hooked. lYou do need to concentrate when tackling complicated patterns eg cabling, as the fluffiness of the yarn doesn’t add to stitch definition. Haven’t washed it yet.
This yarn is easy to work with gives a nice even finish and makes nice garments nd homewares though you do have to take care when washing. Not 100% wool but this makes it slightly easier to look after.
A versatile yarn for both garments and homewares.
Felted Tweed is one of my favourite yarns. It’s great for cardigans and jackets. Plus Kaffe Fassett’s colours are gorgeous.
