Fallen branches snap underfoot along the thin, winding path woven through the trees. Rough, grayed bark wraps around their trunks, kissed by lichens of pale green and soft,verdant mosses. As twilight falls softly, their limbs offer shelter for autumn’s last birds. Grey from the stonewall blends together with the treebark, contrasted only by the warm golden brown of the fallen oak & birch leaves.
