Product Details
This crochet pattern is for a men's sweater, with a textured stitch which I am choosing to call a Wonky V. The design has a round neck collar made of a simple rib. Sleeves taper from the cuff to a flat join to body. I have used DK acrylic to make this sweater, specifically Stylecraft Special DK. The pattern includes details for nine chest sizes, five different lengths, and 4 x 3 sleeve sizes.
The Wonky V is an easy stitch to make. It is made in the same way as a V-stitch (dc, ch, dc) but with a small sc making it wonky (sc, ch, dc). You will also notice that the other difference to a V-stitch is that each V is made in the sc, not the ch space.

I've never attempted a man's crocheted garment before but after seeing the pictures that someone in a crochet group I belong to had taken after making it, I thought it would be the ideal Christmas gift for my eldest grandson. I did contact my daughter to double check on his three favourite colours but, as she only replied with one colour, he won't be getting the stripes! The only thing that threw me a bit was where they give the details for the tension swatch it doesn't include the hook size, which is where I've always found that detail in the past on other patterns. The hook size is listed under materials. I have made the front and am now just uner halfway up the back of it. To date I've not encountered any problems.
