With this easy pattern, you can make Windu, a realistic looking and cute horse. Use any colour you like to create your own horse!
Size: 6 inch/ 15,5 cm sitting when made with Istex Lett Lopi and hook E / 3,5 mm.
The instructions are written in US crochet terms. The pattern contains a list of materials, tools and accessories needed. Brand and colour numbers of the needed yarn. A clear and colour coded description of how to crochet and assemble the animal. Pictures and illustrations to help getting everything right.
Materials: for this crochet horse you’ll need worsted weight yarn and an E US/3.5 mm crochet hook. You’ll need four colours of yarn, brown (hazel or chocolate, 2/3 of a 100 yard skein), barley (1/20), white (a left-over bit) and brown black (black sheep heather, a left over bit). For the eyes I’ve used 8 mm animal eyes. You will also need fibrefill and pellets for a bit of extra weight in the body (I use Hama beads). Lopi colour numbers: 1401 or 0867, 1419, 0051 and 0052.

Another great Sons Popkes animal. i had a request for a crochet horse from a work colleague and this was the only realuistic one i could find. i am going to change the colours so it looks like her horse. The only thing i sometimes find challenging when i am changing colours, is knowing where the row starts - e.g. the first stitch in a row is under the middle of the chin, or on the top of the head or on the right side of the head - this would be a very helpful addition.
