I have a waterfall front jacket pattern which uses very heavy wool. I was adapting the pattern myself for a lighter weight wool. The wool knits up excellently with no splitting. One tiny quibble is just a few too many joins within the wool ball so a bit of extra care has had to be taken to make sure that a knot doesn’t appear where the front of jacket falls open to show both sides of the knitting.
