US Size 4 (3.5mm) and 6 (4mm) double pointed needles (set of 5) or use a 40” length or longer circular for magic loop method. (see below for explanation on magic loop) or size needed to obtain gauge

**Gauge:**18 sts, 28 rounds =4” in st st or Whorl Stitch worked in the round on larger needle after blocking. 25 sts, 28 rounds = 4” in Twisted Rib Stitch on smaller knitting needle, unstretched. To save time, take the time to check gauge
