Gauge28 sts in Hat Cable Pattern (2 repeats) = 5½" [14 cm] wide; 28 rnds = 4" [10 cm] long. Take time to save time, check your gauge.Notes• The hat is worked in the round from the brim to the crown. The Baby and Child sizes use dpns throughout. The Adult size begins with a circular needle, then changes to dpns during the crown shaping. • The top is fastened by pulling a long tail through the remaining stitches, then weaving it into the WS of the hat.
