Product Details

his pattern is for one of my most ornately cabled warm pocket shawls. One cable comes to us from the Shetland Islands and the other is a product of Japan. The shawl incorporates the two very complex cables to form a single pocket shawl. The pockets insure that the shawl will stay comfortably on your shoulders. If you love knitting cables, you’ll enjoy this shawl made using worsted weight yarn, guaranteeing that you’ll be warm on a cool spring evening.

The pattern contains a schematic for pocket placement, as well as instructions for an optional crocheted edging.

The two very unique cables in the shawl are charted only.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a good working knowledge of cabling).

The yarn used in the sample is Shepherd Worsted by Lorna’s Laces, undyed. However, any worsted weight yarn will work for this pattern.

No crochet hooks are needed if you don't want to crochet the optional crocheted edging.
