Product Details
This is a pattern for a light weight wrap. It’s heavier than a shawl, but just the ideal weight for a spring or fall evening, or if you’re sensitive to air conditioning in the summer, as it’s made with sport weight yarn. It knits up fairly quickly if you're familiar with lace knitting. It is made up of two different lace stitches that are both written out line by line, and charted. The final size is 18 inches by 72 inches, but can easily be made larger, by adding a repeat. There are also instructions for an optional crocheted edging contained within the pattern, should you want to edge yours. (No crochet hooks are needed if you elect not to do the optional edging.
Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of lace knitting)
Any heavy weight fingering weight yarn or sport weight yarn with a gauge of 4 sts/inch in lace stitch will work for this pattern, usually on a size U.S. #6 needle (4.00mm).
