Tonya Cardigan

For this cardigan, you start with knitting the center border panel sideways. Then you pick up stitches from one of the long sides and knit the upper cardigan piece from bottom up until the beginning of the armholes. Then you knit the two sleeves in the round from bottom to top, join all pieces together, and work the upper cardigan in one piece.

Finally, pick up stitches from the second long side of the border and knit the lower cardigan from top down. Only the underarm stitches that were left on hold are sewn together; otherwise, nothing needs to be sewn.
