Product Details
This long wingspan shawl features two distinct knitting patterns. The focal stitch is a true lace, and the edging is a famous one from the Shetland Islands. Together they make a beautiful shawl, which can be worn in many different ways. The very wide wingspan allows you to wear it in a variety of ways. The shawl measures 68 inches at the widest points across the top and is 28 inches deep at the deepest point. It is made with a heavier of the fingering weight yarns, and is knit on size 7 (U.S.) needles. The shawl requires approximately 1000 yards of yarn of any heavy-ish fingering weight yarn (6 - 6 1/2 sts/inch) making it both a perfect warm lacy shawl for the fall. The stitches are both charted and written out line by line. Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of lace knitting).
