Product Details
I always find myself buying beautiful yarn in pairs - colours that look great together and give me that happy feeling. But then I get home and realise I don't have a plan for my gorgeous duo. Enter the Swirl of Stars Cowl!
This two-colour cowl uses a simple star stitch pattern to produce an amazing effect - a swirl of stars going around your neck. I’m not into super fiddly colourwork - I always want maximum results with minimum effort. This is stranded knitting but in the simplest possible way.
Directions are given for both a DK and worsted weight cowl, but don’t be limited by those…it really will work for any weight of yarn and you can easily adapt the pattern depending on whether you like a close or a slouchy fit.
The pattern as written will produce a cowl that fits quite close to the neck, to show off the stitch pattern to best effect and to fill that gap at the top of your coat. The DK and worsted weight versions are the same size; the worsted version has fewer stitches.
