Product Details
Uniquely designed to be rolled into two different types of sushi for show-shopping gift presentation, subtle main colours and appealing texture variations make these bulky mittens easy to wear every day. The fold-back cuffs cover wrist-hugging ribbing for extra warmth. Entertain yourself while wearing the mittens by making sushi! Just form a fist with your thumb in the centre, or clasp both hands together.
Sized for an 8" (20 cm) palm circumference (women's M-L or men's S).
You will need three main colours of wool: white, black, and red (or colour of your choice for cuff; pattern photo shows mitten cuffs in a discontinued colour). You'll use about half of each skein to make one pair.
***For the mittens’ thumb, you will also need very small amounts of a similar-weight wool in three contrasting colours (in mittens pictured, rather than using scraps of super bulky wool, I have used a double strand of scraps of aran-weight wool in red, yellow and green).
I recommend using the invisible seaming/mattress stitch method for the neatest and most professional finish when you are joining the fronts and backs of the mittens!
