Even though it looks complex, it is easily mastered even by beginners. This seamless slipper is knit flat on two straight needles. All you need to know is how to knit, slip stitch, increase and pick up stitches.
I've had people commenting that this pattern is not from Russia, but that's where I've learned how to make them. I suppose it is known in other European countries as well.
