Product Details

This sock pattern was written for double pointed needles and has instructions for three sizes:

Small (56 sts)

Medium (64 sts)

Large (72 sts) sizes.

This is a cuff down sock pattern, worked in one piece, from the cuff down to the toe. Casting on requires using a stretchy cast-on method. The cuff of the socks is knitted first, before moving onto the leg, the heel, the gusset, then the foot and finally finishing on the toe. Kitchener stitch is used to close the stitches at the toe.

Instructions for this sock are in written format only.

The design for these socks was inspired by my Skoosh! Shawl. These socks are so easy to knit that you could say that they’re a pure skoosh! This translates as ‘something very easy’ for those not fluent in Scottish dialect.

I hope that this pattern, which is free, will help knitters to understand how cuff down socks with a traditional heel flap and gusset develop while using double pointed needles.
