Product Details
Light, fashion-forward, and perfect for coastal summers and fall, this pullover is all about texture at a eased gauge. Worked in one piece from the shoulders-down and almost entirely in the round, the 2x2 ribbing on the back and sleeves contrasts with double garter st on the front. The set-in sleeves are created seamlessly with the upper bodice in a technique originally described by Barbara Walker (photo tutorial included).
The double garter stitch on the front of the bodice jogs around to the back just below the waist to create a motif for a bit of a party-in-the-back feel. Choose a yarn that, like the Silky Wool does not have a lot of "memory". Silk-Wool, or Alpaca blends are a fine choice. You want the 2x2 rib to lie mostly-flat after blocking.
Sizes 29(32, 35, 38, 41, 44, 47, 50)” require 5(5, 6, 7, 7, 8, 8, 9) skeins Elizabeth Lavold Silky Wool (192 yds/50 g) or approximately 850(900, 1000, 1155, 1235, 1350, 1460, 1575) yards of fingering weight yarn.
