Product Details
Sheba is a cat made entirely of african flowers. The african flowers used for Sheba are a smaller version of the traditional african flower, but those could also be used. This would result in a bigger cat.
Sheba also has a smaller cousin, Lina, who is a true patchwork cat. Both Sheba and Lina are ideal projects for scraps of yarn.
Meterage & sizes: The size of your cat depends on the yarn you use. If you are unsure of the amount of yarn you will need, I’d advise you to make a flower hexagon, and weigh that after each round. Multiply the amounts by 37 as an estimate of what you will need for the finished cat. Multiply the amount of the last round by 40 to account for the joining stitches. Use a crochet hook that is one size smaller than your yarn label advises, to make sure you don’t get big holes.
As a guide Sheba is made using approximately 40 grams (160 m) of sport weight yarn. She is 16 cm high (incl ears), 25 cm long (nose to bum), and 11.5 cm wide.
