I designed these squares as blanket blocks for my own knitted quilt, but you could use stitch them into a cushion, or back them with fabric and use them as wash/dish cloths!
They are all knitted in DK yarn and measure 16 x 16 cm finished, making them easy to stitch together and mix and match as you choose.
Included in this pattern set are 3 beautiful designs – the Diagonal Stripe Square, Flying Geese Square and Trio of Diamonds Square. Each colour work square is fun to knit, experiment with different colour combinations – you could knit the Trio of Diamonds in three shades of pink to create a pretty ombre square.
Each square uses less than 25gm of yarn, so it’s a perfect stash buster!
The Squares are knitted with a combination of written + charted instructions. This is a perfect pattern for a first time Fair Isle knitter!
Worked flat on two straight needles.
