G Hook 4.25mm, Tapestry Needle, Yarn Pins (helpful but optional), 2 brown buttons – ½” , 2 beige buttons – 5/8”, Needle and Thread to match buttons.
Dowel – ¼” diameter (3/8” is ok), 36” long to cut, or 2 lengths 24” and 12”. Craft stores sell dowels in 3 ft. lengths which you can cut. Or, buy at a home improvement store and they will usually cut it for you. Instead, use 7 or 8 pipe cleaners, 12” lengths, to keep the arms and head stiff (but your scarecrow will not have a "hanging on a post" look as with dowels.)
