Product Details
This is a listing for a knit wrap pattern that features two stitches that come to us from Japan. The focal stitch is an intricate cable lace stitch that makes quite a statement. The border stitches are also unique, but quite a bit easier to knit. Combined, they make a one of a kind shawl, quickly becoming an heirloom
Skill Level: Intermediate+ (assuming a basic knowledge of cable-lace knitting).
The two stitches are both charted.
The yarn used in the sample is Handmaden’s Casbah, in colorway Clove and requires approximately four skeins to knit on a size U. S.#5 (3.75mm) needle.
There are also instructions for an optional crocheted edging contained within the pattern.
Any heavy fingering weight yarn will work nicely for this pattern.
