Additionally, the pattern includes an optional starched version of the flower.]Cotton yarn in a fingering or dk/sport weight works up nicely. Also, cotton yarn can be starched for the stiffer version.
13 yds/12 m for the petal color (red, pink, white etc.) 8 yds/7.5 m for the leaf color (green) 25 in/61 cm for the stamen color (yellow)
The stamen are sewn in with a french knot.
