Have you fallen in love with Monty the Penguin? He has captured the hearts of the nation already this Christmas. I find penguins captivating, with their huge personalities and comedic ways, what is not to love? Last year I designed a penguin hat with a bit of a twist.
This cute Penguin hat can be customised to suit your taste in just three steps. The pattern includes a choice of earflap and mini top hat styles, simply follow the steps to make your hat, your way! Six variations of this hat are included in the pattern.
The hat is worked flat and includes an intarsia chart for the face.
The yarn requirements are:
One 50g ball of DK weight year in the following colours; black, white, red and gold. The sample is knitted using
Rowan Pure Wool DK, (A) shade 004 Black, (B) shade 012 Snow, (C) shade 051 Gold, (D) shade 036 Kiss, one 50g ball of each
