Penelope the Chicken

With this pattern, you will be able to make Penelope the Chicken. This is the perfect project for intermediate crocheters.

SKILLS REQUIRED

Crocheting in spiral, crocheting in rounds, magic ring, chain, slip stitch, single crochet stitch, half double crochet, double crochet, changing colors, increasing and decreasing.

MATERIALS

• I used worsted weight 100% acrylic yarn (Loops & Threads – Impeccable with colors: White, Red Hot and Sunny Day.)

• 3.50 mm crochet hook (US size E/4) or according to the yarn

• Polyester fiberfill for stuffing

• Two 14 mm safety eyes or buttons, beads, felt, etc.

• Yarn needle, scissors, stitch marker

FINAL SIZE

Penelope is about 23 cm (9”) high, with worsted weight 100% acrylic yarn and a 3.50 mm crochet hook (US size E/4).
