Children’s Short Sleeved and Sleeveless Dress Knitting Pattern to fit from birth to 7 years old

Design:

The dresses have a lacy snowflake pattern and moss stitch borders. The front and back are knitted separately and sewn together. The moss stitch neckband is added by picking up stitches. Stitches are picked up for the button band at the back. You then have the option of either short sleeves which are knitted separately and sewn onto the dress or picking up stitches for a moss stitch armhole edge band.

Yarn:

The pattern uses double knitting wool (an alternative yarn for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply)

The picture shows the 6-12 months size knitted using Rico Baby Dream DK Uni in shade Pink (003) for Short Sleeved Dress and Grey (017) for the Sleeveless Dress.
