Product Details
These are so simple and fast to make that they are no bother at all. They have an interesting and novel construction; top down, in the round and seamless yet with no picking up of stitches or short rows and no heel to turn. Simple to custom size with instructions provided. And they stay on!
Yarn choices and yardage
Two of my samples use 100% wool, the red ones are DY La Paz acrylic yarn with a touch of mohair and alpaca, Whatever yarn you choose do aim for a really firm fabric in a fibre that will withstand wear. The blue sample is in the King Cole merino blend aran. Lots of alternative suitable yarns listed below.
Yardage is for aran yarn held double:19cm-20.5/7 ½-8in in: 150yds/135m21-22cm/8 ¼ - 8 ¾ in: 200yds/185m23-24cm/9-9 ½ in: 225yds/205m25-25.5cm/9 ¾ -10 in: 255yds/235m
Skills and techniquesThis is a very easy knit. Knitting in the round: pattern is written for one needle magic loop, but you may substitute two circulars. DPNS are not recommended
