Per eseguirlo, basta conoscere dritto, rovescio e la diminuzione che si esegue lavorando 2 dritti insieme. Il cappellino è lavorato bottom-up, ossia dal basso verso la corona, che è sagomata con una serie di diminuzioni. È leggermente sagomato utilizzando ferri di dimensioni diverse.
