Meaning “the four elements” in Scottish Gaelic, Na Ceithir Dùil is a simple but fun fingerless mitts pattern. It uses tiny leftovers for stripes with to slipped stitches create a gorgeous pattern on the back of each hand. This fingerless mitts pattern is a really quick and fun make.
The pattern is fully written instructions, with charts for the slipped stitch pattern and also includes a photo tutorial for the Estonian Cast-On and for cables without a cable needle. The pattern has been tech edited and test knitted. There’s a screenshot of the pattern, and a list of the stitches used at the bottom of the photos. These additional techniques are used: picking up stitches.
For the perfect fit, knit a size which gives you at least 1 cm (0.5”) of negative ease on the hand.
