This little wizard in training has been busy practicing his magic arts with the help of his faithful familiar, Hoots the Owl. Merlin has a removable star spangled hat and cloak and makes all his magic happen with a wave of his special orbed wizards staff.

Merlin measures approx. 13" (36 cm) tall and Hoots is approx. 4" tall when made with light worsted weight (DK/8 ply) yarn and a size D (3.25mm) Hook.
This pattern is written in American crochet terminology and includes a handy stitch conversion chart so you can translate to British crochet terms instead should you wish to.
