Lake Hat -- a loom knit pattern

The Lake Hat is the perfect hat for all of your summer activities. The large brim keeps the sun out of your eyes and off your face. A scarf can be woven through the Indian Cross Stitch embellishment to keep the hat from blowing off your head when the boat picks up speed or if you just want to add a touch of charm to your new hat.

The Lake Hat requires two sets of Flexee Loom Links Skinny (3/8" gauge) or a minimum of 128 pegs. This hat has a unique crown that can only be created using the Flexee Loom Links Skinny loom. The special double decreasing crown construction is most suited to an intermediate loom knitter. This design makes a really cute "+" on the top of the hat and the crown doesn't "swirl" like so many decreasing crown designs do.

The Lake Hat uses approximately 200 yards of a #4 worsted weight acrylic yarn. Hobby Lobby's I Love This Yarn by in the Linen colorway was used in sample.

This pattern is suitable for an intermediate loom knitter.
