Product Details
Pattern for a lacy bonnet to fit newborns to 9 month old babies. Different thickness of yarn and size of needles are used to change the size. Made in the round – no seaming. Will suit intermediate knitters.
Materials approx weight / length newborn - 3 months size: in fingering / 4 ply yarn (approx 160 -175 m per 50 gms ball) 20 - 22 grams = 65 - 75 m / 70 - 80 yds 3 - 6 months size: in sport / 5 ply yarn (approx 135 -150 m per 50 gms ball) 23 - 25 grams = 65 - 75m / 70 - 80 yds 6 - 9 months size: in DK / 8 ply yarn (approx 110 -125 m per 50 gms ball) 25 - 27 grams = 65 - 75m / 70 - 80 yds
Basic requirements For newborn - 3 months size: a 3.5 mm (US 4) circular needle (or 4 double-pointed needles) For 3 - 6 months size: a 3.75 mm (US 5) circular needle (or 4 double-pointed needles) For 6- 9 months size: a 4 mm (US 6) circular needle (or 4 double-pointed needles) 5 markers (4 the same, plus a different colour for end of round tapestry needle for finishing
