About the Design This sweater melds my desire for a traditional Fana sweater, with a Japanese Kimono element. I love the simplicity of the kimono, which seems to want to blend with the simplicity of the Norwegian Fana motifs. Flattering color placement and a fitted waist make it very wearable and modern.
The sweater is worked flat on a circular needle, to the underarms. Sleeves are picked up and worked to the cuff. The front band is picked up in one piece. The construction is easy, the short sections of colorwork are melodic.

**Note: **Add 1 extra hank C for belt in 4 largest sizes.
Gauge: 19 sts & 26 rows = 4″ (10 cm) in St st, 18 sts & 26 rows = 4″ over Waist Chart or size to give gauge. To save time, take time to check gauge.
