Product Details
This is the first in a series of Alpine bloom squares.
The hellebore or Christmas/Easter rose is one of the first flowers of Spring and that is why I wanted it to be the pattern in this series. Its beautiful white or sometimes dark pink petals are always a welcome sight on a Winter’s day. This square focuses on the flower, depicting the stamen in loop stich and working the petals independantly, so that they overlap as they would in nature.
The pattern is worked in the beautiful Paintbox cotton DK, which gives the petals a robust feel.
As an 8 inch square it can be used for a variety of projects. This pattern also includes the instructions to make it into an 8 inch scatter cushion.
