The Story Behind Happy Hops
I love reading and creating my own stories, which is why I wrote the book Who Wants Happy Hops’s Toothbrush?
The story follows a little bunny named Happy Hops who doesn’t want to brush his teeth - because it tickles!
He comes up with a clever idea: to give his toothbrush away, just to avoid using it.
Frog is the first one he meets at the pound. A small green friend with a long tongue and absolutely no need for a toothbrush — he doesn’t even have teeth! He does, however, have a taste for flies… so you might just find one stuck to his tongue in the end.
I thought it would be a fun idea to crochet a Happy Hops bunny and the other characters from the book, so that kids who read the story could hold the magic of it in their hands. It’s a way to bring the story to life and create a physical connection to the character.
