Four squares with knit and purl stripes make up this blanket, with a knit and purl checked border. Pattern given for double knitting (dk) and worsted weight yarns in small size blanket and large size blanket.
3 circular needles, 36" or longer 8 ring markers; 1 split-lock marker; 4 point protectors
Double knitting (dk) yarn Small: about 1000 yds; Large: about 1875 yds Needles: size 6 US Gauge: 19 sts., 28 = 4” [10 cm] in pattern st.
Worsted yarn Small: about 745 yds; Large: about 1400 yds Needles: size 8 US Gauge: 16 sts., 26 rows = 4” [10 cm] in pattern st.
