Product Details
This is a knit wrap pattern that features three distinct stitches that come to us from Japan. Ine is a cluster stitch (smocked) and the other a unique cable stitch, combined with a faggotting stitch.
The shawl is knit in a continuous pattern, which means it does not need any type of grafting or kitchener stitch to be symmetrical.
The pattern also contains instructions for an optional crocheted edging.
All stitches are both written out and charted.
Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a good working knowledge of cable-lace knitting.) Skill Level for the optional Edging: Intermediate (assuming a working knowledge of crocheting)
The shawl shown in the sample was made Sportmate in Key Largo, however any heavy weight fingering yarn or sport weight yarn will work for this pattern. No crochet hooks are needed is you don't want to edge the shawl.
