Note for fair isle crochet in the round
When crocheting in the round, the first stitch of the 2nd round is not vertically above the 1st stitch of the 1st round but skewed slightly to the right. That is why as the rounds increase you will find the 1st stitch of the last round will be further and further to the right of the 1st round.
This skewing has to be compensated for when crocheting the neck & body colours together.
The instructions have this compensation built in to keep the belly strip as straight as possible.
However, If you find this method too troublesome, you can ignore the belly color and crochet the whole neck and body with only one colour. After that you can crochet the belly strip and sew it to the neck and belly. Instructions for crocheting the belly strip is included.
