Product Details
Diagonal is an open-front, seamless and top-down raglan cardigan with unusual construction: First, the yoke is worked as for a traditional raglan cardigan, but without fronts. When the yoke is finished, stitches for the fronts are picked up along the front sides of the sleeves. As a result, the rows run diagonally and fronts are worked on the bias, with increases at the sides and decreases in the centre. This creates interesting diagonal stripes and lifts centre fronts so they are shorter than the sides and back. There is some waist shaping at the back, widening lower body by 6 cm/ 2.25 in.
Yarn: Worsted weight, 190-200 metres/210-220 yds per 100g skein.
