Product Details
This pattern uses UK crochet terms and is suitable for a confident beginner who is keen to learn new stitches. The daisy flowers in this pattern are created over two rows by making Marguerite cluster stitches comprised of double crocheting five stitches together on the first row and making half treble crochet stitches for the second row. This creates dainty daisy flower shapes forming visual interest. These stitches look their best when worked in a smooth yarn and in a contrasting colour. Besides working the pattern in a single colour with contrasting daisy rows you could use multicolour blocks, as well as colour changing or gradient yarns to make a stunning blanket. The sample in the photograph uses four colours with white yarn for the daisies.
For simplicity, the pattern instructions are written using just two colours, but you can be as adventurous or creative as you want with colour placement. Just remember to change colours after each set of daisy rows.
