Crochet Ruana Pattern: Easy Peasy Two Rectangle Ruana

I really do like this ruana. It is very versatile and can be worn in several different ways -- crossed in the front, open in the front, or one front panel over the shoulder. It fits a lot like a rectangular poncho, except that it is open in the front. As you can see from the photos, it has a beautiful drape in the back.

This ruana is made by joining one long side of two crocheted rectangles together (via whip stitch), half-way; leaving what will be the front, open. Stitches consist of ch-2 spaces and double crochet stitches and half double crochet stitches worked in back loops only. This ruana is basically one-size-fits-most, but I do provide a gauge and instructions for altering the size.
