Product Details

This is a pattern for a small knitted blanket perfect in size for a car seat or a Moses basket.

It features a cable border and a cable heart pattern in the centre.

I have included photographs of various stages of this project as well as written instructions and charts.

This blanket can be knitted in one colour, two or even three. Accompanying images show I had great fun choosing colours from my Paintbox DK baby yarns pack. My other favourite is James C. Brett supersoft baby DK (as featured in grey+purple sample). For a cooler version of this blanket for summer months I would recommend King Cole cotton bamboo DK yarn.

I used 3mm needles however you might want to switch to 4mm, if that's what you used to work with for DK yarns. You also will need a cable needle for all those cables in the pattern and a tapestry needle for assembly.

This pattern is written by myself for personal use only which means you cannot resell the pattern nor blankets made using it for financial gain.

Thank you!

Notes
I prefer working with circular needles due to the width of the blanket, you might want to use just single point sticks

I have completed this blanket in two colours. I was very pleased with how it turned out. The pattern is easy to follow and uses both written and chart instructions. Irina answered a question I had about the pattern very quickly. My next one is going to be in one colour to see which way I prefer. Would recommend this pattern to anyone who loves doing cables.
