It's more complicated that I thought, however the number of colors in this kit makes it very manageable. I typically work to only the canvas and the front picture, and start with smaller features first. The enclosed picture, taken for this critical review, shows a bit of this complexity that I speak of - the chest work for the peasant. Overall, I enjoy these Bothy Threads kits - especially the ones with the Appleton's tapestry wool - like this one has.
When I was in the UK some years ago, I went to William Morris' summer home on the Thames and saw May's fabulous bed hangings. I looked for a kit of her design then and there, to no avail. I am delighted to be able to work this one.
