Based on my earlier pattern The Barbarian cowl, this beanie is full of squishy textured cabled goodness; but is simple, fun, and quick to knit up. Approx 160yd of DK or 10ply merino for the standard height version or approx 180yd for the taller slouchy option; you can make a bunch of these for gifts and for yourself; classic unisex gender-neutral design will never go out of style. (8ply recommended for the shorter option and 10ply recommended for the taller version).
Uses 4mm and 5mm circular needles on a 40cm cable - plus a 20cm or DPNS/magic loop for the crown. You will also need a cable needle to hold your stitches for the twisted texture.
Stretchy fit: one size will suit most, from teen to large adult: change your needle size and yarn weight to adjust up or down.
