Baby Sweater - Gorgeous George

This is an easy knit garter stitch sweater with front armhole button fastening. It is knitted top down and is ideal for a new/ novice knitter to produce a great little sweater. There is a twist stitch at the armhole increases which adds a little interest and looks like a tiny cable. My patterns are all about simplicity - both in style and ease of knitting and I would hope they will encourage new knitters to gain confidence. The little sweater takes less than 100 gms of DK yarn, and is quick to knit. Obviously babies come in all shapes and sizes but this sweater should see a baby through its first six months if not beyond. Garter stitch is stretchy and it looks fashionable too. Use machine washable yarn!
