i have uploaded this pattern exactly as Amanda wrote it, but I have renamed it for her, Amanda’s Hug Cardigan. You will hear her voice through her words in the pattern talking you through it. It is a very simple make, trust the process and follow the pattern. The large hook might take a bit of getting used to, but your perseverance will pay off! You will end up with a gorgeous Hug, with love from our dear Amanda. You have the option to add pockets an/or a belt. You can decide at the end. We made the original with Stylecraft Softie but any chunky yarn will work. For extra luxury, Amanda made one holding mohair together with the chunky yarn. It made a weightier garment. Just gorgeous!

This has been an opportunity to send best thoughts to Amanda. It is a reminder of how compassionate she was. Most of her creations are about love, sharing and warmth. I was both sad and smiling while crocheting this piece. And now while wearing it. I cannot review this pattern as a “pattern” alone.
