Product Details
Aether is the material once believed to fill the sky above the terrestrial sphere, a fifth element through which light travels. Starlight was the inspiration for this geometric lace pattern, with mesh triangles forming a mosaic of starbursts on a background of garter stitch.
The Aether Cowl is a one-skein project in fingering-weight yarn, worked flat and then grafted into a loop.
Skills & Techniques: Garter stitch and simple lace, a provisional cast on, and Kitchener stitch (worked garter style).
Materials Needed: 1 skein of Skein Top Draw Sock (85% superwash merino, 15% nylon; 437yds/400m per 100g skein), or 380yds/347m of fingering-weight yarn.
Finished Measurements: Relaxed after blocking: 37”/94cm circumference, and 13”/33cm depth. The cowl can be enlarged by adding repeats (with additional yarn).
Charts and written instructions are both provided in full.
