West Yorkshire Spinners’ Jacobs Aran produced from this ancient breed of horned sheep is a fabulous choice for outer garments as it’s very warm and hardy. When spun as an aran, the wool has a darker sheen than its DK cousin, due to how it reflects the light!

very woolly - and squishy but also beautiful definition
Love the ‘sheep’ smell really reminds me of my times with Jacob’s. A little bit itchy, wouldn’t like to wear next to my skin but I am knitting an oversized outside jumper, it’s looking good. Definitely would use the wool again.
