Product Details
“Walk the line” is an idiomatic saying that means to maintain an intermediate position between contrasting choices or opinions.
This project is not worked like the traditional mitered square. Rather, this coaster starts with a decreasing triangle. Then the piece is rotated clockwise and the second half of the square is worked as an increasing triangle in a contrasting color. Each ascending row of the second triangle “walks the line” along the diagonal.
This pattern makes one 4.25-inch (10.79 cm) square coaster, using two different colors of worsted weight yarn. It should take you about 1 to 2 hours for your first coaster. You’ll get faster with practice.
Materials: Approximately 30 yards (9 grams) of each of two colors.
Tools: Regular crochet hook – H/8-5.0 mm (Tunisian hook not required), yarn needle, scissors, and one stitch marker.
