Grasshopper poncho for kids and adults
Detailed instruction available in 8 sizes: you might find it useful to mark figures for your size with a bright pen on your printed copy.
US terminology; measurements are given in both inches and cm.
The process is as follows: 1) you work two identical rectangular panels flat in rows and sew them together to assemble the poncho body (make sure you do both seams at the same side: RS or WS); 2) you pick up new stitches along the edge of the V-shaped neck opening and work the ribbed turtleneck collar in rounds from the bottom up; 3) you pick up new stitches along each side of the bottom edge of the poncho body and work the ribbed border in rows from the top down.
Shown in Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran, Lime (502), alternative yarns suggested.
It is important to check your gauge before working.
